NEWS / ATi: Bereits eine Million PCI Express Grafikkarten

ATi hat am gestrigen Tage die millionste native PCI Express Grafikkarte verschickt. Damit wurde fortgesetzt, dass ATi und seine Boardpartner die einzige Quelle von den Kunden für PCI Express Visual Prozessoren ist. Am ersten Juni wurden die PCI Express Lösungen Radeon X300, Radeon X600, Radeon X800, FireGL V3100, FireGL V3200, FireGL V5100 und FireGL V7100 auf der Computex vorgestellt. All diese Grafikkarten werden gerade an OEM- und System-Hersteller weltweit verschickt. ATi will sich auch weiterhin um einen schnellen Übergang auf PCI Express bemühen. Rick Bergman, Senior Vice President Marketing und General Manager von ATi Technologies sagte folgendes dazu.

"Since the outset of the PCI Express initiative, our aim was to deliver a top-to-bottom family of PCI Express graphics cards to our OEM customers, hastening the PCI Express transition. PCI-E is a major innovation in the computer architecture and there is a rapid transition in the market to this bus standard. Our huge success in winning the OEM PCI Express business attests to the fact that our PCI Express products are robust, high-performing and are a cut above the rest."
